Councilman forms alcohol task force

Councilman Kevin Faulconer has assembled his beach alcohol task force, a group the councilman promised to form to address the debate over alcohol in Pacific Beach, Mission Beach and Ocean Beach.
“You’ve had two separate camps arguing for many years … I hope to facilitate a group discussion to decide what the problems really are,” he said.
The members from Pacific Beach are: resident Clyde Fuller, Free PB president Jeremy Malecha, Katie Keach of the town council, Scott Chipman of Save PB, business owner Carole Janks and Todd Brown of Discover PB.
From Mission Beach: Mike Meyer of the planning board, business owner Mark Antis, Nancie Geller and Bill Bradshaw of the town council, and resident Jean Froning.
From Ocean Beach: business owner and town council member Dave Martin, Julie Klein of the MainStreet Association and business owner Dirk Stump.
The first meeting will be Oct. 30 at the Pacific Beach library, 4275 Cass St.
