Man run over in Pacific Beach alley
December 5, 2007 No CommentsA 30-year-old man was run over early Wednesday morning outside a Pacific Beach bar after a friend he was with got into an argument with a man, police said.
After the two men exchanged words shortly after midnight near a bar on Garnet Avenue near Everts Street, the assailant got into his SUV and the victim and his friend began walking toward the man’s vehicle. The assailant accelerated, turned east into an alley and ran over the victim.
Police said the victim suffered leg injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
The driver was described as white, in his late 30s to early 40s, about 5 foot 11, with brown hair, brown eyes and a medium build. He is clean shaven and was wearing a black jacket, white dress shirt and dress pants. His vehicle was a silver or grey SUV, possibly a Jeep, with a license plate that begins with “4A.” A side window on the driver’s side was broken during the incident, police said.
