2-day police checkpoint nets seven DUI arrests
March 21, 2008 No CommentsCHULA VISTA: Seven people were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving during a police checkpoint conducted Friday and Saturday, Chula Vista police said.
Officers contacted 518 drivers in the two days in the city, including at the checkpoint at Bonita Road and Willow Street.
Roughly 50 drivers were cited for various violations, such as driving without a license, police said.
The special operations were paid for with a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
