3 men in custody after Chargers fan beaten up
December 5, 2008 No CommentsAn argument at a bar over the Chargers-Raiders football game ended with a hometown fan being beaten by five men early yesterday, San Diego police said.
The argument started inside the Firehouse American Eatery and Lounge on Grand Avenue near Ocean Boulevard with a Chargers fan telling Raiders fans to return to Oakland. When the Chargers fan, 25, left the bar about 12:30 a.m., the Raiders fans were waiting outside and punched and kicked him, police said.
An officer spotted the commotion and broke up the fight. Three people were taken into custody, police said.
