Booze ban at Kate Sessions may be imminent
July 12, 2010 No CommentsA booze ban at Kate O. Sessions Memorial Park in Pacific Beach may be imminent, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
The latest attempt to make miserable the lives of San Diego’s P.B. drunks has gained momentum since a Fourth of July celebration drew thousands to the park.
Some groups want a full ban, while others advocate for a weekend or holiday-weekend ban, the U-T reported.
City Councilman Kevin Faulconer says it’s clear something needs to be done, the newspaper reported.
“My kids were treated to nudity, profanity and people smoking marijuana,” Kelly Johnston told the U-T. “There was one girl so drunk she was walking around with no pants on.”
Sounds about par for P.B.
