City Council Acts Unanimously – Putting Safety First
July 26, 2010 No CommentsFloating parties such as the Floatopia events held this year in San Diego will happen no longer.
The San Diego City Council voted unanimously to close the loophole drinkers had been exploiting to bypass the 2008 beach alcohol ordinance – approved by nearly a quarter-million San Diegans.
There were concerns about the enormous costs and threats to public safety.
