Hit and Run Driver hits Pedestrian at Cass St. and Grand Ave. this morning
August 28, 2010 No CommentsAbout 12 a.m. this morning a pedestrian was injured by a hit-and-run driver. The pedestrian was crossing the west side of Cass St. at Garnet Ave., and was struck near the time he reached the north travel lane. The victim was taken to the hospital while police investigators spent several hours at the scene collecting evidence and eyewitness testimonies.
It is not immediately known if alcohol was involved with either the victim or assailant. However, this early morning tragedy in the San Diego, CA Pacific Beach community, one rife with alcohol-related injuries and accidents, may very well indicate its involvement.
