Drunk Driving Crash in Pacific Beach
October 27, 2010 No CommentsPACIFIC BEACH – A suspected drunk driver left a portion of Pacific Beach without electricity and contributed to congestion with the morning commute Wednesday.
It happened at about 1:30 a.m. at Balboa Avenue and Garnet Avenue when the driver lost control of her car and slammed into an electrical box.
The damage knocked out power to the neighborhood and shut down traffic lights.
Power was restored to all but a few homes by mid-morning. Some traffic lanes were blocked while crews repaired the damage.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
