What are the odds? Charger Player Applewhite arrested for DUI in PB
May 6, 2011 No CommentsPacific Beach seems to draw the worst out of our NFL Chargers players. What are the odds that such a small group of players could have so many alcohol-related crimes done by or near them?
In November 2009 Antonio Cromartie, then a NFL Charger’s player was questioned after someone broke a champagne bottle over another patron’s head. Listen to the audio of that story and ask if this is what you believe a typical ‘restaurant’ should be allowing.
Then, this past December 2010 Legedu Naanee was questioned after a patron at the same ‘restaurant’ and was knocked out cold. Naanee was cleared after police found a credible witness after many others had conflicting stories. He didn’t have much luck in Indy though this February–where it appears his alleged statements reveal his true character when he’s been drinking excessively.
And now, just this morning another Charger, Antwan Applewhite, was arrested for allegedly impaired driving. See the story below.
Geeze Chargers, it’s great you love to party in PB but, could you show us a little love? We’re swimming in alcohol-related problems. Maybe you could set an example for others?
